Mike and Adele

And then Mike and I found each other...

I met Mike in 2015. Like me, he had endured a great loss – his wife of 28 years passed away from a sudden heart attack. And much like my family, his family's world fell apart too. But, as we got to know each other, we found that our broken pieces fit nicely together. We were able to see through the grief we'd been carrying for so long and look forward to a future together. We were married two years later; and, Mike (who is originally from Missouri) moved to the Lehigh Valley and joined me in the bakery.

We now run this business together. Mike has an extensive art background, as well as years of business management experience, so he is involved with every aspect of running our business. Although the art of creating cakes was new to him, he took to it very quickly and fell in love with the process. Mike LOVES working on unique specialty and 3D cakes. And when his beloved Kansas City Chiefs aren't playing, he can be found enjoying the outdoors. Being the more extroverted one, you may find him heading up our table at some of the local bridal fairs.

We both feel very blessed and grateful that our stories didn't end in sadness, but merged together to create a whole new journey for the second half of our lives. And we truly believe this business is an important part of that journey. We look forward to meeting every new client who comes our way and creating an amazing cake for each one of them!

And then we built a TEAM...

Libby

Libby is my daughter. She grew up seeing me bake and decorate cakes as a hobby and learned the art naturally from observing and helping me. When I started the business, she did a lot of dishes and prep work and whatever was needed to keep things running smoothly. As the business grew and we needed more help, she learned more skills and took on more responsibility. Before we knew it, she was designing and decorating wedding cakes from start to finish. Libby has a background in art. She is also a licensed cosmetologist with a focus in color and 6 years of experience working as a professional stylist/colorist - she is our color expert! She loves working with unique color palettes, and she is a master at color-matching. Her favorite part of working in this business is designing nature-inspired cakes and working with florals.

Jenn

Jen is my sister-in-law, and she helps keep us neat and organized. She not only helps with dishes, cleaning, and inventory, but she can jump in and help us with prep work and some decorating whenever we need it. She works full-time for an insurance company, so the bakery serves as a part-time "fun job" for her.

Robin

Robin has been one of my closest friends for 20 years. As our business grew, (and she listened to me vent about how overwhelmed I was feeling), she offered to help us improve our system of tracking orders, contracts, billing, and expenses. She keeps us on track with our tracking! She also helps with customer service emails.

Katie-Lynn

Katie has 12 years of caking experience. She started as a teenager by studying Pastry Arts in vocational school, and has worked in the industry ever since. Over the years, she has worked at two well-known and respected bakeries in the Lehigh Valley. She also has an art background and is a master buttercream artist. We admired her work for years, and we are so happy to finally have her working with us. She is extremely detailed in her work, and has an excellent eye for design and floral placement, which transfers into beautiful wedding cakes! But her personal favorite is creating the unique and odd cakes - anything "geeky" or "nerdy" is her thing!
